300 Plus Feet On Whitefish

95% of my work is real estate with lakeshore within a 15 mile radius of Alexandria, Minnesota but every now and then I have venture further to other outstanding shoreline found on lakes such as Minnetonka, Gull and now I have a Sotheby's For Sale sign on Whitefish.

The Annual Fourth Of July Lake Carlos Boat Parade

Starting at 10:30 am at the Carlos-Darling Bridge on the Fourth of July will be the annual Lake Carlos Fourth of July Boat Parade. Decorate your watercraft and join the fun or if you have a home on Lake Carlos or know someone that does, pull up a lawn chair, grab a Bloody Mary and get ready to wave and laugh.

Blading By Brophy

Last night was a beautiful night in Alexandria, Minnesota and I had a lot on my mind so I needed some activity. So, I headed out my back door with my Rollerblades strapped on my feet and headed to Big Ole and The Central Lakes Trail.

Most nights, I like to skate east past Lake Agnes, Lake Geneva and Lake Victoria but I decided to head west. It was so nice out that I kept skating and skating. Before I knew it, I was in Garfield and my skate was 14 miles round trip. Along this route, you pass Lake Brophy and I always enjoying seeing it as it was my first experience of life at the lake (my family moved to Alexandria when I was 2 and we lived in a home on the southwest side of Brophy). It is a smaller lake (293 acres) but a very nice and scenic lake. Plus, it is a short drive, bike or skate to downtown Alexandria. As of today, there are 2 homes and 2 lots for sale with frontage on Brophy.

This morning I have been at Lake Ida at the Ida West Townhomes (9 homes total) shooting photos of a three bedroom home that is on the market as of today (stay tuned for video). This 2004 built home is listed in the Greater Alexandria Area MLS (#10-1631) and is priced very attractively at $329,000. The owners in this waterfront community enjoy 400 feet of level lakeshore and a large beach.

Yesterday morning, I climbed into Fred Bursch's airplane along with Fred and three other members of the Alexandria Rotary Club for a short flight to Redwood Falls. Each year, their Rotary Club hosts a Fly-In Breakfast and Fred graciously offered to fly a few of us to it. Pope County Museum

Located at the northeast corner of Lake Minnewaska is the Pope County Museum. For the rest of this summer, admission is free as they want to set a new attendance record. It is a great museum for all ages but is an especially nice place to bring children and they should enjoy the many indian artifacts on display.
