It is rare that lakefront real estate with a Government Point address is available for purchase in Alexandria's MLS. Families such as the Champlins (Champlin Oil & Refining) have kept these properties in the family for generations as their summer destination. The lots are deep, wooded and the lakeshore is level and sandy. There happens to be a 1903 cottage that is on the market and has even had 2 price reductions.
