- Darling is a very sandy lake with 9 feet of water clarity, a maximum depth of 62 feet and 6.5 miles of shoreline

- One of the main lakes in Alexandria's Chain of Lakes. Boaters may dock at the Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center which offers food and/or beverages from their Deck Bar and Grill.
